Riordan is pleased to welcome Jack King to our Grain Services team. Stepping into the role of Grain Accumulator in December, Jack brings extensive barley industry expertise and will be a strong addition to the business.
Jack is a seasoned barley supply chain specialist with extensive experience across grain logistics, procurement, malting and brewing, and international market development.
His previous roles include four years with the Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC) as General Manager Technical Market Solutions and Barley and Oats Program Manager, and ten years with Malteurop managing malt sales to domestic and export brewing and food ingredient customers.
Jack’s industry insights will be invaluable as Riordan continues to grow its domestic and international markets for malt and feed barley.
This appointment also marks a welcome return to Riordan, with Jack having previously worked with the company as Export Logistics Coordinator from 2002 to 2006.
“It is great to be back at Riordan after so many years. The growth in the business over the last 20 years is very impressive. I’ve been fortunate to work at the most technical levels of barley production and innovation, and I am looking forward to bringing this knowledge back to our discussions with growers and end-users,” Jack said.
Chief Commercial Officer Mark Lewis added: “Jack will be a valuable addition to the team, arriving in time for what is expected to be a national record in barley production. We are anticipating a strong season for Australian barley and are working closely with our customers to secure the quality supply required for their end-use needs.”
