Riordan Fuels has won the 2026 ACAPMA Community Spirit Award, recognising the team’s long-standing commitment to supporting regional communities across Victoria and Southern NSW.
The Marg Taylor Memorial Award for Community Spirit was presented at the ACAPMA Conference Gala and Awards Dinner in Melbourne last week. The merit-based awards recognise outstanding achievement across Australia’s fuel industry, with finalists representing the industry’s best performers.
The award is especially meaningful following a difficult year for the fuel industry. The onset of the fuel supply crisis coincided with the busy sowing season, placing significant pressure on agricultural businesses and the regional communities that rely on them.
Throughout this period, the Riordan Fuels team worked tirelessly to maintain supply and keep agriculture moving, demonstrating the care, resilience and commitment that underpin the business.
For more than 60 years, Riordan Fuels has understood that being a regional business comes with a responsibility to support the people who call these communities home and provide practical assistance when it matters most.
Through the Fuelling Your Community Program, regional employment, youth pathways and sponsorship of local sporting clubs, community groups and events, Riordan Fuels has made a lasting contribution to communities across Victoria and Southern NSW.
The business has also supported communities through some of their most difficult periods, including drought, bushfires, and fuel supply disruptions.
Riordan Fuels General Manager Brent Squires said the award was a proud acknowledgement of the Fuels team and the many communities the business has been fortunate to work with.
“This award means a great deal to our team, particularly after such a challenging year,” Brent said.
“Our people worked incredibly hard to support our customers and keep fuel moving when regional communities needed us most.
“It also recognises a commitment that has been part of Riordan Fuels for more than 60 years. We believe that when regional communities are strong, the businesses and people within them are stronger too.”
